This arrest was made during a special raid operation in Baiganabad locality of Bihar police station area, which started in the morning and continued for about 8-9 hours. A special team formed under the leadership of Nalanda SP Bharat Soni raided Akbar Malik's hideouts on the basis of technical surveillance and secret information. During the raid at the house, the police recovered a large quantity of illegal weapons and explosive material from Akbar Malik's hideouts.

The items seized include 8 different types of loaded guns and revolvers, 967 live cartridges of different calibers, 4 CO2 capsules which come in explosive material, baton rods (gupti) and other sharp weapons, several mobile phones, which are being investigated. The most shocking thing is that foreign-made weapons have also been found among the recovered weapons. These include Taiwan-made revolvers and 32 revolvers made in England.

This is an indication that Akbar Malik's network may be connected not only to local sources but also to international sources. Akbar Malik is not a new name. His criminal history itself tells us that he has been involved in illegal activities for a long time, staying outside the ambit of the law.

There are 8 criminal cases registered against him in Bihar police station, while cases are also registered in Laheri and Bihta police stations of Patna. The cases registered against him include serious crimes like land grabbing, illegal recovery, threats, and arms smuggling. The oldest case is from the year 2012, which shows that he has been involved in criminal activities for more than a decade.
