Rehman Dakat was a prominent figure in the Lyari gang wars. He was involved in more than 80 criminal cases and was at the center of the Lyari gang wars. In 2009, Karachi police killed him and three of his associates. Following Rehman Dakat's death, members of his family remained active in the criminal world. In 2024, one of his sons was killed in an alleged encounter.
