News Topical, Digital Desk : Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained a cleric from Haryana's Mewat region in connection with a "white collar" terrorist module operating from a university in Faridabad. Maulvi Ishtiaq has been brought to Srinagar. He lived in a rented house on the Al Falah University campus in Faridabad. Police recovered more than 2,500 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, and sulfur from his home. This is the ninth arrest in this case.
12 people died in the car blast
It should be noted that on November 10th, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh Police, conducted raids. These raids uncovered the "white collar" network of the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. The explosives were planted in the cleric's rented house by Dr. Muzammil Ghani, alias Musaib, and Dr. Umar Nabi. Dr. Umar Nabi is the same person who drove the car laden with explosives outside the Red Fort on Monday evening. The car explosion killed 12 people and injured several others.
8 bodies have been identified so far
Eight victims have been identified so far at the Maulana Azad Medical College mortuary. All identified bodies have been handed over to their families. The identification of some remains pending. According to forensic experts at the college, some died from severe injuries and excessive bleeding from the blast. Some bodies showed a cross-injury pattern, meaning the blast caused people to collide with walls or the ground. This resulted in broken bones and head injuries in several of the bodies. Some bodies showed signs of damage to the lungs, ears, and abdomen from the blast wave.

Delhi on high alert, every vehicle searched
Delhi Police is on high alert following the powerful blast near the Red Fort. Officials said on Wednesday that a massive checking operation is underway in the city. A heavy deployment of police and paramilitary forces has been made. Vehicles are being stopped at all entry and exit points of Delhi. Senior officers are personally monitoring the inter-state borders like Ghazipur, Singhu, Tikri, and Badarpur. Random checking is being conducted at markets, metro stations, railway terminals, and bus stands. Patrolling has been increased at crowded places, especially tourist destinations, malls, and religious places.
There will be a big meeting this evening.
The government is in action following the Delhi blasts . In this context, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security is scheduled this evening to review security arrangements. Following the CCS, a Cabinet meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, starting at 5:30 pm today. On Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah handed over the investigation of the Delhi blasts to the NIA after a review with security agencies.
