News Topical, Digital Desk : Raja Raghuwanshi Murder Case: Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi, accused in the murder of transporter Raja Raghuwanshi, refused to give a statement by maintaining silence in front of the court in Shillong. When the judge asked if they wanted to give a statement in this case, both of them refused.
Police say that even though Akash and Anand did not confess their crime and did not give statements in the court, during interrogation at the police station and during crime scene recreation, both of them confessed their crime in front of the camera. Apart from this, Meghalaya Police also has other solid evidence.

Let us tell you that after marriage on May 11, Raja Raghuvanshi went on honeymoon with his wife Sonam to Shillong on May 20. Raja was murdered there on May 23. In this case, Shillong Police has arrested Sonam from Ghazipur in UP and her lover Raj Kushwaha from Indore, besides contract killers Vicky alias Vishal, Anand and Akash.

The previous day, the police had taken Akash and Anand before the District and Sessions Judge in Shillong for confession. SIT chief Herbert Kharkonagr said that we are waiting for the forensic report. In such a crime, the material evidence available with the police is also important.
