Pressure was created to meet at the hotel

A woman from the Quarsi police station area stated in a complaint to the SSP that she had filed a complaint on the Chief Minister's portal against a young man named Zeeshan, accusing him of raping her on the pretext of marriage. While investigating the complaint, Chief Constable Imran Khan, posted at the Nagla Patwari outpost, behaved indecently. According to the woman, the accused contacted her via WhatsApp call and demanded she send "private photos." Furthermore, he pressured her to meet him at a hotel on the pretext of buying her Eid clothes.

"If you want help, you'll have to sleep with me."

According to the victim, the accused constable not only made obscene advances but also attempted to mentally pressure her by citing her religion. In her complaint, the woman stated that the accused said, "You are a Muslim, and I am also a Muslim. You will have to come and sleep in my room, only then will action be taken in your case, otherwise I will send you to jail." The victim alleged that the accused also threatened her with an oath to remain silent, threatening to take action against her if she told anyone.

Recordings submitted as evidence

The woman mustered the courage to report the entire incident to the SSP and submitted an audio recording of her obscene conversation with the accused constable as evidence. The recording allegedly contained incriminating conversations, which further escalated the matter.

Strict action by SSP

Considering the seriousness of the matter, SSP Aligarh immediately suspended the accused head constable, Imran Khan , and directed the Quarsi police station to file a case against him under serious sections. According to police officials, a departmental inquiry has also been initiated against the accused. If found guilty, strict legal action will be taken against him, including possible dismissal.

This incident has raised questions about the police department's functioning and image. When employees of a department charged with protecting the public and providing justice are found involved in such acts, it poses a significant threat not only to law and order but also to society's trust.
