News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh government minister Nitin Agarwal has given his first reaction to the price hikes on premium petrol and industrial diesel. Agarwal said that this situation has arisen due to the war between Iran, Israel, and the United States. Demand is high and supply is low.
He said that the ongoing war in the Gulf countries has created problems for all countries. A large portion of crude and gas comes from those Gulf countries. Now, during a war, there is bound to be a gap between demand and supply, leading to higher prices. It's not that prices haven't fallen; they have fallen in the last 10-11 years.
He said that currently, supply is tight and demand is high, which is why prices have risen. When conditions return to normal, things will certainly improve.
