Actually, a landslide suddenly occurred in Derlakatte area of Dakshina Kannada district. A house built on the hill side here came under the grip of the landslide. A girl has also died due to the landslide. The deceased girl has been identified as Naushad's daughter Naima. This accident happened when a hill and wall collapsed behind Naushad's house in Kanakare. During this, the window of the room of the house fell on the girl. Three people are reported to be trapped under the debris due to the collapse of a part of the hill, which the officials are investigating.

Apart from this, rain has also wreaked havoc in Ullal taluk. Due to heavy rains, many houses have been flooded. Due to waterlogging, people's lives have been disrupted. At the same time, many houses have been flooded in places like Kumpala, Kallapu, Dharmanagar, Uchila, Talpadi, Vidyanag. Due to waterlogging, many families have been sent to other places at night. More than 50 houses have been submerged in water in Kallapu. At the same time, a house in Talpadi has been damaged due to water entering. Ullal Taluk Tehsildar Puttaraju, Revenue Inspector Pramod, Someshwar Municipality Chief Officer Suresh Karnik and others visited the spot at night and inspected it.
