News Topical, Digital Desk : The Sangam city of Prayagraj has received a significant gift. Access International School, located in Nawabganj, has been recognized as a Sainik School. The Ministry of Defense's Sainik Schools Society, New Delhi, has granted it permission to operate.

Significantly, this school will operate on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Three Sainik Schools have previously been opened in Uttar Pradesh using this model, but this will be the first in Purvanchal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to open 100 Sainik Schools across the country under the PPP model. Prayagraj has also received this gift in the same vein.

Admissions will start from January 2026

Following approval, the admission process for Class 6 and Class 9 will begin in January 2026. Each class has 80 seats. Of these, 60 percent will be filled through an entrance exam conducted by the Sainik Schools Society, and 40 percent through the management quota.

Prayagraj's Joint Director of Education, R.N. Vishwakarma, said that this institute will provide young people with the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of joining the military. He called it a major achievement for young people aspiring to join the military.

Discipline, culture and patriotism will also be developed.

Prayagraj's District School Inspector, P.N. Singh, said that the Sainik School will prove to be a precious gift for children. It will not only provide education but also inculcate discipline, values, and a sense of patriotism in students.

The school will operate in a co-educational mode, meaning both boys and girls will be able to study there. Education will be provided under the CBSE curriculum and all regulations will be in accordance with the Ministry of Defense's Sainik Schools Society.

School founder's dream comes true

Yogendra Vaish, the school's founder, said that receiving Sainik School recognition for Access International School, established in 2021, is a dream come true. He said that the campus spans 10 acres and offers modern education along with excellent sports facilities. Facilities like indoor and outdoor games, smart classes, computer labs, a digital library, and a reading room will provide children with opportunities for holistic development.

School-educated children will also get an opportunity to serve the country.

With the establishment of the Sainik School, students studying here will now be able to serve the country by joining the National Defence Academy, the Naval Academy, and the Indian Army. This step will undoubtedly open new avenues for the youth of Prayagraj and the entire Purvanchal region.
