A 33-year-old widow was brutally beaten by her mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and daughter after she wore jeans. This shameful incident occurred in the Sahakarnagar area. The woman suffered a broken arm and serious injuries in the assault. She has been admitted to Sassoon Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered at the Sahakarnagar police station based on the victim's complaint. 

Her husband died three years ago.

Providing details about the incident, police said the complainant, a woman who works as a garbage picker, lives in the Taljai colony area with her four children. Her husband passed away three years ago. On December 30th, at around 6:30 pm, the complainant was standing outside her house wearing jeans. Her mother-in-law, Savita, arrived and, enraged by her daughter-in-law's wearing jeans, began pulling her hair and beating her.

At the same time, her mother-in-law also doubted her character. While the mother-in-law was assaulting her, the victim's elder daughter came to the scene upon hearing her screams. Instead of stopping her, she, along with her grandmother, began beating her mother.

The victim's children were also beaten.

The victim's brother-in-law twisted her left arm. The assault fractured a bone near her wrist. The victim's children were also beaten. The accused also snatched her mobile phone. Sahakarnagar police have registered a case of assault, abuse, and causing grievous bodily harm. Police took the woman to Sassoon Hospital for a medical examination, which revealed a fractured wrist.

The incident has sparked outrage, while condolences are being expressed for the woman. Citizens have expressed concern that this is a serious case of violence against women's personal liberty following the death of their husbands. Police have registered a case against the accused mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and daughter under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and further investigations are underway.
