The Governor was speaking as the chief guest at the silver jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of the establishment of the Bilaspur High Court. He said that media trials have increased now. One has to go to the High Court and the Supreme Court for bail. Justice should be for everyone, not just the powerful.
In his address on this occasion, Supreme Court Justice JK Maheshwari said that the common citizen comes to the court with faith and the judiciary will have to work with this spirit.
The judiciary should develop a vision for the next 25 years, ensuring that justice reaches the last mile. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said the government is committed to ensuring timely delivery of justice with the availability of infrastructure and resources.
