News Topical, Digital Desk : Additional Police Commissioner Shiv Hari Meena inspected the foot patrolling from Baba Vishwanath Gate No. 4 to Godaulia Church and the new road. He explained that today is Friday prayers and the festival of Karva Chauth, and this foot patrolling was carried out keeping this in mind. DCP Gaurav Bansal, ACP Dashashwamedh Shubham Kumar, and police personnel from several police stations were also involved in this campaign.
In view of Friday prayers, the police have decided to launch a special campaign called Mission Shakti and against illegal firecrackers. Mission Shakti is focusing on the safety of women. As part of this campaign, foot patrols are being conducted in various areas to establish dialogue with the public. Discussions are being held with women to ensure they are provided with greater security.
The police have launched a special operation to stop and seal any firecrackers being stored. This operation involves the police administration, along with the fire brigade, bomb disposal squad, and other relevant teams. If excessive firecrackers are found stored at any location, strict action will be taken and a case will be filed.
The Additional Commissioner of Police stated that this type of patrolling will not only ensure security but also curb illegal activities. He appealed to citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
Meanwhile, the police also ensured that security was tightened around all mosques during Friday prayers. Additional police forces were deployed. Special vigilance was being maintained to ensure the safety of women on the occasion of Karva Chauth.
This effort by the police administration is not only aimed at ensuring security during the festivals, but also at strengthening a sense of security in society. The Varanasi Commissionerate Police have made it clear that they will not tolerate any form of illegal activity and that the safety of citizens during the festivals is their priority.
Thus, the police's activeness regarding security arrangements in Varanasi before Diwali has given a positive message to the citizens.
