News Topical, Digital Desk : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday described the achievement of reaching 3 million rooftop solar homes under the PM Surya Ghar scheme as a major milestone in India's clean energy revolution. He said the initiative is a decisive step towards making the country energy-secure, green and self-reliant.

The statement came after New and Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi announced that 30 lakh households across the country are now connected to rooftop solar, turning sunlight into savings and sustainability.

Congratulating all beneficiaries of the scheme, he said that adopting rooftop solar not only reduces electricity bills but also strengthens sustainable development and self-reliance.

PM Modi underlined that the government's aim is to make the country future-ready, environmentally responsible and self-reliant in the field of energy and 'PM Surya Ghar' is a strong link in that vision.
