News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, where an attempt was made to desecrate the sanctity of a Shiva temple in Simaria village, under the Sungarhi police station area. A young man threw pieces of fish into the temple premises, sparking widespread outrage among villagers. Given the sensitivity of the incident, police immediately took action and brought the situation under control by cleaning the temple.

The police have arrested the accused youth, whose statement has shocked everyone. The accused youth said, "Since people in Bengal are eating fish while wearing saffron, I offered it to God." The situation is now calm and the investigation is ongoing.

The family refused to cook fish

According to reports, Satpal, a resident of Simaria, had brought fish home, but his family flatly refused to cook it at home. Angered by his family's displeasure, the young man took the bag of fish directly to the temple and scattered pieces of meat there. As villagers learned of the incident, tension spread in the area, threatening to disrupt communal harmony. Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene, immediately removed the fish, and washed the temple with holy water. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused, Satpal.

Police surprised to know the reason

The accused's argument during police interrogation surprised even the police. The youth claims he acted out of political tension in West Bengal. He claims that since people wearing saffron can eat fish there, he offered it to God. The accused says he has no regrets about his actions. Currently, the police have registered an FIR under relevant sections and a police force has been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure.
