(Phulera Dooj Significance)

The festival of Phulvara Dooj is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout Braj. This day is marked by a very special festivity. According to legend, Lord Krishna was once busy with his work and was unable to visit Radha Rani for a long time, causing her great sadness. Her grief caused the forests of Mathura and Vrindavan to dry up. When Lord Krishna learned of this, he traveled to Barsana to meet Radha Rani.

Seeing Radha Rani sad, the Lord plucked a flower and threw it at her, bringing a smile to her face. Krishna and the gopis then began showering flowers. Since then, the festival of Phulvara Dooj has been celebrated on this day. Flowers are showered on Lord Krishna and Radha Rani on this day.
