It is said that those facing marital problems should perform special prayers to Radha Rani and Kanha Ji on this day.

What to do on Phulera Dooj? (Phulera Dooj 2026 Dos)

  • On this day, worship Lord Krishna and Radha with proper rituals. This festival is called "Phoolera," so be sure to include colorful flowers during the puja.
  • On Phulvara Dooj, Lord Krishna should be offered abir and gulal (coloured powder). This is believed to bring colours of love into one's life.
  • Lord Krishna is very fond of butter and sugar candy. Therefore, during worship, be sure to offer him butter and sugar candy. You can also offer him sweets made from milk.
  • If you want to do any auspicious work on this day, then this day is very auspicious.
  • On this day, one should wear yellow clothes during the puja, because yellow colour is very dear to Lord Vishnu and Shri Krishna.

What not to do on Phulera Dooj? (Phulera Dooj 2026 Donts)

  • Avoid consuming tamasic food on Phulera Dooj . Only sattvic food should be eaten on this day.
  • If you are fasting or performing any special ritual, do not use onion and garlic in your food.
  • This festival symbolizes love and devotion. Therefore, avoid fighting or anger at home. Maintain peace at home.
  • Do not insult the elderly or helpless people in the house. Doing so will not yield the benefits of the puja.
  • This festival is related to nature and flowers, hence do not harm trees and plants on this day.
