News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking and intriguing video has emerged from Katni district in Madhya Pradesh. In the Sadar forests, which fall under the Dhimarkheda tehsil, a tiger was seen rubbing its head against an ancient Shivalinga dedicated to Lord Shiva.
People are seeing this action of the wild animal with faith and this unique video is rapidly going viral on social media.
What is the whole matter?
According to local villagers, this rare incident occurred late Wednesday evening. An ancient Shivalinga dedicated to Lord Shiva is located in the forest near Sadar village. In the viral video, a tiger calmly approaches the Shivalinga and rubs its head and tongue against it for a long time.
Faith or natural instinct of wildlife?
The video has sparked heated debate in the area, with two different perspectives emerging:
- Villagers' view: Many people are linking it to a miracle and the tiger's 'devotion' towards Lord Bholenath.
- The Forest Department's Scientific Reasoning: Forest officials have clarified the situation, stating that wild animals often rub their heads against stones, trees, or solid objects to leave their scent (territory marking) or to relieve body itching. This is a very normal natural instinct, not a miracle.
Forest department alerted, villagers warned
While people are hailing this incident as a miracle, the tiger's presence so close to human settlements has also created an atmosphere of panic in the area. The movement of wildlife in Sadar and surrounding areas is constant.
Ajay Mishra, officer of the Pan Umaria Range, said that the incident occurred just 400 meters from Sadar village. For safety reasons, forest department patrol teams are constantly monitoring the tiger's movement. As a precaution, villagers have been strictly instructed not to venture into the forest for the time being and to remain vigilant.
