News Topical, Digital Desk : In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, police engaged in a gunfight with cow slaughterer Junaid Ahmed in connection with a cow slaughter case. Ahmed was shot in the leg during the encounter and has been hospitalized for treatment. Following interrogation, police also arrested five of Junaid's associates, who were involved in the cow slaughter along with him. A pistol, two live cartridges, a motorcycle, and cow slaughter equipment were also recovered from Junaid's possession. Police have now initiated legal proceedings in the entire case.

Upon receiving information about the escape of the notorious criminal Junaid, the police surrounded him.

This entire incident took place on the Gandnala Semrauta road in the Inhauna police station area. The Inhauna police station received information that a notorious cow smuggler, wanted in connection with a cow slaughter case in Karangaon, was attempting to flee. Upon receiving the information, the Inhauna police arrived at the scene and began surrounding the cow slaughter site. Police from Jais and Mohanganj were also called in for backup. 

Seeing himself surrounded, Junaid opened fire on the police, and in the retaliatory fire, Junaid was shot in the leg, injuring him. The injured man was admitted to the hospital for treatment, where he is undergoing treatment. The forensic team also collected evidence from the scene. Following interrogation, the police also arrested five other accomplices of Junaid from various locations, who were involved in carrying out cow slaughter with him.

Additional Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Kumar Singh stated that an encounter with a cow slaughterer took place on the Gandnala Semrauta road in the Inhauna police station area. The cow slaughterer was shot in the leg in police retaliation and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Junaid was wanted in connection with a cow slaughter incident in Karangaon.
