News Topical, Digital Desk : A case has been registered against a passenger for smoking a bidi in the toilet during a Delhi-Goa flight. The incident occurred on Saturday when the accused, Ashish, a resident of Delhi, was travelling on Akasa Air flight QP-1625 to Goa.

The airline said the passenger allegedly smoked a beedi in the aircraft lavatory during the flight and a lighter was found with him. The safety of the aircraft and passengers on board could have been endangered.

This endangered the safety of fellow passengers and crew members during the flight, police said. A case has been registered against the passenger at the Mopa Airport Police Station under the Indian Penal Code and the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Civil Aviation Security Act.
