News Topical, Digital Desk : The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, developed by the Indo-Russian joint venture, has now been delivered to the Indian Army, fully made in India. The first batch, manufactured at the BrahMos missile production facility in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was delivered to the Indian Army today, marking a major step towards the country's self-reliant defense capability. Seeing this will rob Pakistan of its sleep and peace. India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated, "As far as Pakistan is concerned, every inch of its territory is now within the reach of the BrahMos. What happened in Operation Sindoor was just a trailer. But that trailer itself made Pakistan realize that if India can give birth to Pakistan, then when the time comes, it will…" I don't need to elaborate further; you all are intelligent.

BrahMos became the backbone of all three wings – Army, Navy and Air Force.

Brahmos is currently an important part of all three – the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

• The Indian Army currently has four BrahMos regiments, which are deployed in different strategic areas of the country.

• Almost all the major destroyers of the Indian Navy are equipped with BrahMos missile.

• Indian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighters are now capable of long-range precision strike with the air-launched BrahMos.

First time in India, fully indigenous production

The BrahMos production facility in Lucknow is India's first full-scale assembly and integration facility. It has a production capacity of approximately 80 to 100 missiles annually, with plans to expand to 150 missiles per year.

This centre will not only meet the needs of the army but can also emerge as an export hub in the future.

Modern weapons were handed over in the presence of the Defense Minister

At a ceremony held in Lucknow today, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh personally inspected this version of the BrahMos missile and handed it over to the Indian Army. On this occasion, he said that BrahMos not only symbolizes India's defense capabilities but also embodies the vision of a self-reliant India. This first batch of BrahMos missiles received by the Army in Lucknow signals that India is no longer just a consumer of defense equipment, but a manufacturer.

The fact that all three forces – Army, Navy and Air Force – now have the fully indigenous BrahMos system means that India's strike capability and deterrence power has become many times stronger than before.
