News Topical, Digital Desk : Two young men were killed and two others injured in two road accidents in the district late Monday night. In the Barwar accident, a brother-in-law was killed and his brother-in-law was seriously injured. In the Mamri area, a young man was killed and another injured.
Late Monday night, 41-year-old Rajendra, a resident of Mohalla Devisthan in Barwar, along with his son Arun Kumar, brothers-in-law Bankelal and Pankaj and brother-in-law Ramgopal, were going to his brother-in-law's wedding procession in Sehura village in Khutar from his in-laws' house (Sapha village in Aurangabad) in an Alto car.
Arun Kumar said that around 11 p.m., when his car arrived near Rampur Kala village on the Puwaiyan-Khutar road, he saw a motorcyclist lying injured on the road. Out of humanity, Rajendra and his uncle, Bankelal, got out of the car to help the injured man.
Meanwhile, a speeding car coming from behind hit them and overturned on them. Father Rajendra and Bankelal were injured. Both were admitted to Khutar and then to Shahjahanpur District Hospital for treatment. Rajendra Kumar died there, while his uncle Bankelal is still undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, a bike rider died in an accident on National Highway 730 in the Mailani area on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Sumit, son of Ramnaresh, a resident of Ramuapur, Phoolbehad police station, Kheri district.
It is reported that Sumit was traveling to Khutar to attend a wedding at his in-laws' home in Kukuhapur. He was near the Tedwa picket forest area when he met with a road accident, killing him on the spot and injuring another person. Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the vehicle and initiated legal proceedings.
