Bhooth Bangla created a stir at the box office on Sunday; the film's earnings took a big leap on the third day.

News Topical, Digital Desk : The latest horror-comedy film, Bhooth Bangla, is currently making waves worldwide. Audiences eagerly awaited the return of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years, and when the film hit the big screen, it became a hit.

Starring iconic comedy stars like Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, the late actor Asrani, and Rajpal Yadav,  Bhooth Bangla is receiving immense love from audiences, as evidenced by the film's collections. Even Dhurandhar 2 failed to significantly impact Bhooth Bangla's earnings. Bhooth Bangla is also earning well abroad.

Bhoot Bangla reigns supreme at the box office

As you may know, Bhoot Bangla grossed ₹12 crore (excluding paid previews) at the domestic box office on its first day, while this figure increased significantly on the second day. Foreign earnings also nearly doubled. Now, on the third day, Sunday, Bhoot Bangla continued to rule.

According to early trades from SaccNilk, Priyadarshan's directorial venture, Bhoot Bangla, grossed ₹23 crore (approximately $2.3 billion) at the domestic box office on its third day. Overseas, the single-day collection was approximately ₹7 crore (approximately $7 billion). When combined for three days, Bhoot Bangla has grossed over ₹26 crore (approximately $2.6 billion) overseas.

This brings the worldwide collection of Bhoot Bangla to ₹95.87 crore (approximately $1.5 million USD). The film's Indian gross stands at ₹69.37 crore (approximately $1.5 million USD ...

What is the story of Bhoot Bangla?

The film's story is set in Mangalpur village, where a demon named Vadhusur reigns. Fearing Vadhusur, people in the village refuse to marry, lest he abduct the bride. Despite repeated warnings, Arjun Acharya ( Akshay Kumar ) arrives at his ancestral mansion to solemnize his sister's wedding and discovers a horrifying truth. Rajpal, Paresh, and Asrani add a touch of comedy to the film. Vamika Gabbi, Tabu, and Jisshu Sengupta also play pivotal roles.
