News Topical, Digital Desk : A 48-hour ceasefire is underway between Pakistan and Afghanistan . The conflict between the two neighboring countries began on October 8th. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has made a controversial comment regarding India's handling of the conflict.

In fact, during an interview with a Pakistani news channel, the Pakistani Defense Minister stated that India could play dirty games on the border . He claimed that his country is prepared for any eventuality.

Khawaja Asif made controversial remarks

During an interview with a news channel, Khawaja Asif was discussing the possibility of an  Indian provocation at the border . Responding to a question, he said that this cannot be ruled out. He claimed that such a possibility is very likely.

During this interview, the anchor asked  whether you have had any meeting with the Prime Minister on how to deal with a two-front war if it breaks out ?

Responding  to this question, Asif said, " Yes, the strategies  are ready. I can't discuss them publicly , but we are fully prepared for any eventuality."

Asif has made such comments before.

It is worth noting that Pakistan has been leveling numerous accusations against India since the war broke out between Pakistan and Afghanistan . Previously, Pakistan's Defense Minister accused India of waging a proxy  war .

It's worth noting that earlier this week, speaking to Geo  News , Pakistan's Defense Minister, while ignoring  his country's terrorist past , said, "I doubt the ceasefire will last because India is sponsoring decisions in Afghanistan ." Furthermore, the Pakistani Defense Minister  alleged that Kabul is currently waging a proxy war for Delhi .

India's statement on the Afghanistan -Pakistan conflict

On Thursday, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal , clarified India's position on the Pakistan- Afghanistan conflict. In a statement, he said that three things are clear about this conflict. First, Pakistan harbors terrorist  organizations and sponsors terrorist activities. Second, Pakistan has a long-standing habit of blaming its neighbors for its internal failures . Third, Pakistan is angry that Afghanistan  is exercising sovereignty over its territories . India is  fully committed to Afghanistan 's sovereignty , territorial  integrity , and independence.
