New Delhi: Indian shooter and Olympic bronze medalist Sarabjot Singh has rejected the offer of a government job from the Haryana government.
Sarabjot Singh was offered the post of Deputy Director after winning the bronze medal in the Olympics 2024, but 22-year-old Sarabjot Singh gave more importance to his shooting preparation than this offer and refused to take this post.
Sarabjot Singh rejected the offer of a government job
In fact, after winning the bronze medal in Olympics 2024, rejecting the offer of a government job from the Haryana government, Sarabjot said that I want to work on my shooting first. Talking to news agency ANI, he said that his family had pressured him to get a good job, but he insisted on his commitment towards his sport.
He further said that my family was also asking me to take up a good job, but I want to pursue shooting, I cannot go against some of my decisions, so I cannot take up a job right now.
This decision of Sarabjot Singh came after winning the bronze medal in Paris Olympics 2024. He won the bronze medal along with Manu Bhaker in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event. After winning the medal, he was given a grand welcome in Ambala, Haryana.
His family, friends and villagers celebrated his success with great enthusiasm. He was congratulated with drums and garlands of flowers around his neck. On coming home, he first took blessings from his parents Harjeet Kaur and Jitendra Singh and then celebrated with the people.
