According to a popular legend of Radha Rani 's incarnation, once Vrishbhanu ji went to the lake, he saw a divine girl lying on a golden lotus there. He brought that girl to his home and accepted her as his daughter. But that girl did not open her eyes for many days after birth.
Actually she was waiting for the birth of Kanha ji and wanted to see Shri Krishna first. When Radha ji met Kanha ji in the child form, she opened her eyes. Seeing this, Vrishbhanu and his wife Kirtida (or Kirti) were very happy.
Another story related to the birth of Radha ji
According to another story, once Lord Krishna assumed the form of Mohini, which fascinated all the gods. But the Sun God expressed his desire to have Mohini as his daughter. Then Vishnu Ji gave him the boon that he would be born as the daughter of the Sun God in the form of Ahladini Shakti i.e. Radha.
According to the boon, later on when the Sun God was born in the Braj Bhoomi as Vrishbhanu Maharaj, Radha Ji was born as his daughter.
