News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has responded to Aditya Thackeray's claim that 22 MLAs from the Eknath Shinde faction are joining the BJP in Maharashtra . He retorted, "Tomorrow someone could say that Aditya Thackeray has 20 MLAs and they too are going to join the BJP. No one's word matters. What do we have to gain by bringing the Shinde Sena MLAs to our side?"

CM Fadnavis clearly stated, "The Shinde faction's Shiv Sena is a BJP ally. It is the real Shiv Sena. The BJP does not engage in politics of splitting its allies' MLAs. On the contrary, we stand with them to strengthen the Shiv Sena. In the coming times, the Shiv Sena, the BJP, and our Mahayuti will appear even stronger."

What did Aditya Thackeray claim?

Aditya Thackeray had claimed that 22 MLAs from the Shinde faction were ready to join the BJP. He said, "22 MLAs have come closer to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and are ready to switch sides. They have started dancing to the CM's tune."

Vande Mataram is the mantra of the country's independence - Devendra Fadnavis

The Maharashtra CM also addressed the discussion in Parliament regarding Vande Mataram. He said, "Vande Mataram is not just a song, but a mantra of India's independence, a mantra of nationalism. Many freedom fighters and revolutionaries were hanged while singing Vande Mataram, but they never uttered a word. It is a great mantra. This great mantra connected the common citizen with the freedom movement. It is natural that Parliament will discuss it on its 150th anniversary."

The Chief Minister also stated that today (December 8), all members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly paid tribute to the song by singing the entire Vande Mataram. He stated that Vande Mataram will also be discussed in the Assembly in the next session.

What did the CM say on Thackeray's Vande Mataram statement?

Recently, Aditya Thackeray stated that the Vande Mataram slogan has been banned, and that only BJP slogans will be used. Chief Minister Fadnavis retorted, "Vande Mataram has never been banned. Congress is responsible for any attacks on Vande Mataram. It was Congress that passed a resolution cutting Vande Mataram and requiring only half of it to be sung. Today, Aditya Thackeray is seen embracing the same Congress party. He should question the Congress party, not the BJP." He further stated that Vande Mataram has always been respected under BJP rule.
