This research has been published in the medical journal Cancer Discovery. In this research, it has been told that scientists have discovered a way to identify the changes in the genes present in the blood which can tell in advance whether you may get cancer in the future or not. They have named this technique as Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) test.

Diagnosis is done by blood test

Let us tell you that this is a kind of blood test, in which the DNA, RNA or protein present in the blood is tested. This can detect whether there is any kind of cancer or its signs in the body. The specialty of this test is that it can identify many types of cancer at once, which is usually not possible.

Blood samples were taken from 52 people

It is being told that during the trial, the researchers took blood samples of 52 people and tested them. Out of these, cancer was detected in 26 people within 6 months. The remaining 26 people were found to be completely healthy. The tests of 8 people came positive and cancer was detected in them within 4 months.

Trial is currently underway

The most surprising thing was that out of the people whose three-year-old blood samples were re-tested, cancer-related changes were already visible in four of them. That is, genetic mutations related to cancer were already present in those samples. However, its clinical trial is still going on. Scientists say that if this test is successful, then you will be able to identify a fatal disease like cancer early. This will also make timely treatment possible.
