News Topical, Digital Desk : Ajit Pawar, known as the Deputy Chief Minister of the Maharashtra government and a powerful leader, died in a plane crash. Five people, including Ajit Pawar, died in a plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday morning, January 28th.
Ajit Pawar left Mumbai for Baramati by plane on the morning of January 28th. After reaching Baramati, the plane crashed during landing. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar's last phone call was to BJP MLA and nephew Ranajagjitsinh Patil. Ajit Pawar spoke with Ranajagjitsinh Patil before boarding the plane. The next conversation was scheduled to take place after landing in Baramati.
Rana Jagjitsinh Patil said, "Today is one of the saddest days of my life. It truly breaks my heart to know that not only as an uncle, but as someone who guided me through every turn of my life, gave me courage, and taught me to stand strong in difficult situations, he is no more."
From a young age, he taught me the true meaning of politics, social service, and responsibility through action. I always learned from his company that we should believe in action over words, and that we should always keep the public interest in mind when making decisions. Beyond our personal relationship, he has always been a role model and inspiration for me, said BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil.
Phone conversation shortly before the accident
Patil said, "My mind is literally numb. I spoke to him on the phone shortly before the accident. That voice, as lovingly as ever, still echoes in my ears. And it's hard to describe how I felt hearing this terrible news within half an hour. The terrifying realization that life can end in an instant is deeply disturbing. Beyond personal relationships, he was a constant guide and a strong support for me."
The memory of that last conversation is causing immense emotional turmoil in me. I still can't believe it, it's still hard to believe that Ajit Kaka has left us," said BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil. "This incident has caused a huge loss not only to our family but to the entire state. The feeling of being deprived of a dynamic, experienced, and people-friendly leadership is becoming even more profound."
The state will long feel the pain of losing a leader who championed the causes of farmers, laborers, and the common people. BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil also said the void left by his departure will be difficult to fill.
