News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a major statement on Wednesday in support of the youth protesting against the alleged cheating scandal at the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). He said that for the youth, not only would they bow down, but they would even get their heads chopped off if necessary.

Speaking to reporters after an event, Chief Minister Dhami responded to criticism from those who believed he should not have gone to the protest site to meet the agitating youth or given in to their demand for a CBI inquiry.

"...because they are our future."

CM Dhami said, "The youth of the state were sitting there in the heat and sun, expressing their demands. Some people must be wondering why I went there and why I bowed to their demands. I say that not only bowing, but if I have to sacrifice my life for the youth, I can do so, because they are our future. They should not face any kind of problem." The Chief Minister admitted that there was a lack of communication between him and the protesting youth, but he personally went to the protest site and established communication and accepted the youth's demands.
