Why is SIR necessary?

During this period, the Commission explained why SIR is necessary. According to the Commission, the rapid displacement of people due to changing urbanization is a major reason for this. Secondly, due to this, in many places, people's names are registered in two places on the voter list. Third, names of voters are not removed from the voter list even after they have died.

Fourth, a large number of people have illegally added their names to voter lists in various parts of the country. During the SIR, all these aspects can be thoroughly investigated.
