News Topical, Digital Desk : Israel has banned any humanitarian aid in Gaza for the last 3 months. Even though the United Nations and other organizations are calling it a violation of humanitarian principles, Israel is firm on its stand. Israel believes that help can reach Hamas through humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, a team of 12 international activists has left for Gaza on a ship called Madeleine. This ship belongs to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which is going to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The ship is carrying milk, protein bars, baby formula, diapers, flour, rice, water filters, hygiene products and medical equipment.
Israel will not give entry to the ship
Israel is keeping an eye on the movement of this ship. The Israeli Defense Force has said that it is ready to stop the ship. In fact, Israel has completely blocked the entry route to Gaza. Israel has made it clear that it will not allow the aid coming by ship to reach Gaza.
This ship is being discussed the most because 22-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham are also on board. However, Israel has not yet said what action it will take against the people bringing aid.
Photos of Greta Thunberg on board the ship with the Palestinian flag are becoming quite viral. Before boarding the ship, Thunberg had said that we should keep trying, because as soon as we stop trying, we lose humanity.
