New Delhi. Monsoon rains in the country have wreaked havoc from Delhi to hilly areas. It is raining heavily in North India due to the re-activation of monsoon. Landslides occurred in many districts from Uttarakhand to Himachal due to rain in which many families lost their lives. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi today, and has also issued a rain alert in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh.

There will be light rain on Saturday as well

The maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 33.4 degrees Celsius on Friday. The minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius. Both were recorded one degree below normal. The humidity level in the air ranged from 100 to 74 per cent. The weather department has predicted that the movement of clouds will also continue on Saturday. There may be drizzle and light rain at some places. The maximum temperature is likely to be 34 and the minimum 26 degrees.

Heavy rain warning for two days in Himachal

In Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain during August 3 and 4. For the rest of the districts except Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur and Sirmaur, heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected on August 3 and 4 and then on August 7 and 8. 115 roads in the state are closed for traffic, while power supply is disrupted due to 225 transformers being damaged. 106 drinking water schemes are affected.

There will be heavy rain in Rajasthan from August 3 to 4

The weather department has predicted heavy rains in Rajasthan for the next one week. Monsoon will remain active for five to seven days in many areas of Rajasthan. The reason for this is that a new low-pressure area is being formed in Jharkhand. Its effect will be seen in various areas of Rajasthan. According to Radheshyam Sharma, director of Jaipur Meteorological Center, heavy rains may occur in Kota and Udaipur divisions until August 3 and 4.
