Rajasthan has the highest number of deaths at 14, out of which seven died due to drowning while bathing in the Banganga river. Five people have died in accidents caused by rain in Bihar.

Amarnath Yatra postponed

While roads are closed in the mountains due to landslides, waterlogging and overflowing rivers are causing problems in the plains. In Jammu, the administration has suspended the Amarnath Yatra in view of the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, similar weather may continue for the next few days. An orange alert has been issued in the hilly states regarding this.

Situation worsened due to rain in Rajasthan, 14 died

On the other hand, 14 people died in accidents caused by rain on Sunday, including seven youths who drowned while bathing in the Banganga river in Bharatpur. Three of them were cousins. Many roads got blocked due to rain. The movement of vehicles has completely stopped.

20 villages in Sawai Madhopur lost connectivity

State Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant has directed the district collectors to keep an eye on the relief and rescue operations. In view of the flood situation, schools have been declared a holiday on Monday. Many small and big rivers are in spate in Sawai Madhopur district. 20 villages have lost contact with the district headquarters.

800 apple plants were washed away due to cloudburst in Himachal's Shimla while 200 boxes of apples kept in the warehouse were also washed away by the water. Water entered 15 villages in Haryana

Due to cloudburst in Sirmaur of Himachal and rainwater from the mountains, water entered many villages of Haryana. The fields also got submerged. At the same time, a farmer has also died. The police have started the rescue operation. People are angry due to not getting help from the administration.

The nearby villages have been affected the most due to the breaking of the embankment of the Som river. In Punjab, nine districts were flooded with rainwater within a few hours. Due to heavy rains, the Ujj river in Pathankot has once again overflowed. The police have ordered the families living on the river bank to move back.
