Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered the formation of an SIT to probe the sexual abuse of minor girls at a fake NCC camp in Krishnagiri district. The state government said that senior IPS officer K Bhavaneswari will head the SIT.
The Chief Minister has tasked them to expedite the investigation into the case and file a chargesheet within 60 days. Stalin has also directed to form a team of experts from various fields to suggest measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.

The team will be headed by Social Welfare Department Secretary Jayashree Muralidharan and will include representatives from the police and school education departments, among others. 11 people have been arrested so far in the case of sexual assault on a Class VIII girl student at a fake NCC camp in Bargur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.
Fake training camps are being conducted
It is being investigated whether more such fake training camps are being conducted. According to ANI, the National Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the case of rape of a girl student and sexual exploitation of 12 girl students in a fake NCC camp.
The commission has directed the DGP to conduct a fair investigation of the case and take action against the accused. It has also sought a report from the police and the state government within three days.
DGP sought a detailed report within two weeks
At the same time, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has also taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of the state and the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, seeking a detailed report within two weeks. This is expected to include the status of the FIR and the health of the victims and their counseling.
