New Delhi: An important meeting of Muslim religious leaders and preachers was held in the national capital regarding the Waqf Board (Amendment) Bill of the Central Government. In this, Muslim scholars said on Friday that the Waqf Board (Amendment) Bill of the Central Government will benefit the Muslim community. Also, the capacity of management and administration of Waqf property will improve.

After a meeting of Muslim religious leaders on Thursday, preacher Mohammad Kasmin said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking decisions for the people at the lowest rung of the country. Wakf properties are for backward Muslims, but in the last 70 years, political parties and some Muslim leaders have done a lot of wrong regarding Wakf.

'Bill has been brought for the victims'

He said that this bill has been brought for the suffering people, so that the country also progresses along with their progress. He said that he supports this bill and appeals to the Muslims of the country not to see it in a negative light and to definitely ask questions on it after reading it.

He said that the hundred-year-old organization Jamiat Ulema itself has two offices on Waqf land. In such a situation, why would Jamiat support the Waqf Bill? Religious leader Tahir Ismail said that the government's intentions should not be doubted, the way some people are encroaching on Waqf Board lands in every district, they should be removed.

'The bill is in national interest'

He said that the land should be given to poor Muslims. Hospitals and colleges should have been built on these lands, which were not built, but now it seems that everything is going to be fine. He said that earlier the rights of the Wakf Board were only misused. Those Muslims who see a problem in the bill should put their point in front of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). This bill is in national interest and Muslims will also benefit from it.

Muslim scholar Nazia Hussain said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stance on including women in the Wakf Board is absolutely correct. The way the Wakf Board Bill is being amended is very important. This bill should be passed.
