According to the Vedic calendar, this year Apara Ekadashi will be celebrated on May 13th.
The Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Jyeshtha month begins at 2:52 PM on May 12th.
The Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month ends at 1:29 PM on May 13th.

Apara Ekadashi Parana Timing

The Ekadashi fast is broken on the Dwadashi Tithi. The fast will be broken on May 14th. The time for breaking the fast is from 5:31 am to 8:14 am. The fast can be broken at any time during this time. After the puja, be sure to donate food and money.

Keep these things in mind

  • Wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take bath.
  • Do not wear black clothes.
  • Worship Lord Vishnu as per the prescribed rituals.
  • Recite the fast story during the puja.
  • Chant mantras.
  • Eat satvik food during the fast.

  • Keep your body and mind pure.
  • Do not sleep during the day.
  • It is forbidden to water Tulsi and do not pluck its leaves.
  • Be sure to include basil leaves in the offering to the Lord.
