Kolkata. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday greeted all the countrymen. Along with this, she claimed that she has done many important works to promote Hindi in the state. 

Mamata wrote on Twitter, 'Happy Hindi Diwas to everyone. We respect all languages. Since coming to power in 2011, we have made many efforts to uplift the Hindi-speaking people in the state. From the establishment of Hindi Academy to the establishment of Hindi University and many Hindi colleges, these are all our achievements, which I am proud of.'

Hindi Day celebrated across the state

Here, on Hindi Diwas, various central institutions and various organizations organized programs across the state including the capital Kolkata to celebrate this day. During this, emphasis was laid on doing as much work as possible in Hindi.
