Kerala: The demand for the resignation of CM Pinarayi Vijayan has intensified in Kerala. Congress has intensified its protest demanding the resignation of Pinarayi Vijayan over the allegations leveled by Nilambur MLA PV Anwar against the Chief Minister's political secretary P Sasi and Additional Director General of Police MR Ajith Kumar. Congress took out a protest march towards the Secretariat.

Opposition leader V D Satheesan and KPCC president K Sudhakaran also participated in the protest. Opposition leader V D Satheesan blamed the Kerala government and said that the constant allegations on the government have raised doubts whether it is a government or a mafia gang.

Office working like a mafia organization

Satheesan said, "The court of the people is now judging this government. Continuous allegations are being levelled against the government, raising doubts whether it is a government or a mafia gang. The Chief Minister's Office is functioning like a mafia organisation."

The KPCC president further said, "It is necessary for Kerala to change this chief minister, if the CPM does not take this decision, then the people of this state should take this decision. Yesterday, my children, who did nothing wrong, were beaten up. If the chief minister does not resign, the people of Kerala will rise and throw him out, led by the Congress."

Also accused of protecting the accused

On September 2, United Democratic Front chief and Leader of Opposition in Kerala VD Satheesan led a protest in front of the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram, demanding the Justice Hema Committee report and alleging protection of the accused in the Vadakara Kafir screenshot case.

Earlier on Sunday, Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda questioned the Kerala government for delaying justice to victims of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry following the Hema Committee report and alleged that Communist party leaders were involved in the case.
