Kochi: As part of celebrating International Day of the Girl Child, the British High Commission will offer Indian women aged between 18 and 23 an opportunity to become one of Britain's top diplomats for a day.

When is International Girl Child Day celebrated?

The High Commissioner for a Day competition invites India's brightest young women to showcase their strength and leadership potential on a global stage, the British High Commission said on Friday. October 11 marks the International Day of the Girl Child.

Applicants must make a one minute video

To participate, applicants must create a one-minute video answering a question on how the UK and India can collaborate on technology to benefit future generations.

Participants must share their video on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn using @ or hashtag. The last date to apply is September 4 and applicants must also fill out an online form to finalise their entry. A jury from the British High Commission will select the winner.
