News Topical, Digital Desk : Mumbai Police has registered a case against NCP (SP) MLA Jitendra Awhad and others for obstructing the work of public servants during a demonstration in Vidhan Bhavan. This action was taken after a protest was held late Thursday night against the detention of his supporter Nitin Deshmukh. In fact, a day earlier, during the clash in Vidhan Bhavan, supporters of BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar attacked Nitin Deshmukh. In protest against this, Jitendra Awhad protested in the Vidhan Bhavan premises. He stopped the police vehicle and demanded the release of Nitin Deshmukh and accused the police of biased action.

A case has been filed against Awhad for obstructing the work of public servants

A police officer said, "Avaad sat in front of the police vehicle and did not move despite repeated requests. After this, the police had to remove him forcefully. After this incident, a case was registered against him at Marine Drive police station for obstructing the work of public servants." Meanwhile, another NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, along with Jitendra Avaad, reached Azad Maidan police station to meet Nitin Deshmukh. There he had a heated argument with a police officer.

What did Rohit Pawar say?

Rohit Pawar claimed while talking to the media, "The police officer did not give him proper information and spoke in a loud voice, which led to an argument. In a video viral on social media, Rohit Pawar was seen saying in a loud voice to the police officer, "Don't raise your voice, if you are not able to speak then don't speak."

Awhad and Rohit Pawar accuse police of being biased

Giving information, the police officer further said, "Avaad and Rohit Pawar came to the police station for questioning. Later both of them went to the government JJ Hospital and met Nitin Deshmukh." Avaad and Pawar have accused the police of bias, while the police say that they took action according to the law. This case is related to the clash in Vidhan Bhavan and the subsequent demonstration.
