Chennai. A car was parked at the same place on the national highway the whole night. After this, the local people informed the police about the car. The police team immediately reached the spot. On investigation, everyone was shocked. Actually, the bodies of five people were lying in the car. The case is from Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu. The police have sent all the bodies to the Government Medical College Hospital of Pudukkottai for post-mortem.
Bodies found 200 km away from home
Three women are also among the dead. All of them were from the same family. On Wednesday morning, the car was found parked near Namansamudra on Trichy-Karaikudi National Highway. Initial investigation by the police has revealed that all of them had consumed poison. This family was from Salem in Tamil Nadu. There was a stir in Salem too after all the bodies were found about 200 km away from home.
Did he commit suicide because of debt?
According to media reports, the deceased have been identified as metal trader Manikandan, his wife Nithya, mother Saroja and two children. It is being said that Manikandan was heavily in debt. The police have also found a letter in the car. However, the exact reason behind the incident is not yet known. The police are investigating the entire matter thoroughly.
