Kolkata: The CBI is seeing a deep conspiracy behind the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. On Sunday, the central agency presented the former principal of the hospital Dr. Sandeep Ghosh and Tala police station in-charge Abhijit Mandal, arrested in the incident, in Sealdah Court, where the judge sent both of them to the custody of the central agency till September 17.

CBI told the court that the Thanedaar is not yet accused in the main incident, but it seems that there is a big conspiracy behind the incident and the Thanedaar is involved in it. The agency also expressed apprehension of the Thanedaar destroying the evidence.

There is no conflict between the police and the CBI

The CBI said that there is no conflict between it and the police but it feels that the interrogation of the Thanedaar may reveal some important information about the incident. The Thanedaar's lawyer raised questions on the arrest of his client. When Sandeep Ghosh and the Thanedaar were being taken to the court for hearing, people shouted thief-thief and threw shoes at them. On this day, the Sealdah Bar Council decided that no lawyer from Sealdah Court will plead on behalf of the accused in this case.

The mother had requested for a second post-mortem

The CBI claimed in the court that the victim's mother had requested the SHO to conduct a second post-mortem of her daughter's body but the SHO hurried to cremate the body. Rules were not followed in the case. The SHO has deliberately ignored the case.

Errors in the case diary

The CBI has said that there are errors in the case diary and will inform the Supreme Court about it. It says that it would have been better if the case diary was written afresh. It is suspicious seeing such flaws in such a serious investigation. The investigators have questioned a top police official in this connection through video conference.

CBI preparing to question the police commissioner

The CBI can now summon Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal. The Supreme Court is hearing this case on Tuesday. According to sources, the CBI has a call record in which the SHO has talked to the Police Commissioner.
