News Topical, Digital Desk : A 15-year-old assailant carried out a deadly attack on students in a Russian medical university hostel. Six students, including four Indian students, were reportedly injured in the attack.

A local media report claims the minor attacker also shouted slogans. At least six people, including four Indian students, were injured in a stabbing at the State Medical University in Russia's Bashkortostan Republic on Saturday. Two police officers were also injured.

The attacker belonged to this organization

The Baza channel reported that the attacker belonged to the National Socialism/White Power (NS/WP) Crew (or Sparrow Crew), a violent neo-Nazi organization that was declared a terrorist organization by Russia's Supreme Court in 2021. It has been linked to a number of attacks on journalists, including the attack on Anna Politkovskaya.

Police officers were also stabbed

The channel also showed visuals of a swastika painted on the wall of the dormitory, allegedly made with the blood of one of the victims. Russia's Interior Ministry said the suspect stabbed several students in the dormitory, and Ren TV, citing eyewitnesses, reported blood everywhere.

What information did the ministry give?

"The attacker resisted arrest, during which two police officers were stabbed. In addition, the suspect also caused bodily harm to himself," Interior Ministry spokeswoman Major General Irina Volka said.

Meanwhile, the Russian Health Ministry said that one of the injured is in critical condition, while the other three are in fair condition. The attacker has been admitted to a local children's hospital in critical condition. A high-level investigation is currently underway.
