Bengaluru: A cab driver in Kengeri, Karnataka's capital Bengaluru, allegedly killed his wife suspecting her character. According to reports, the police have arrested the driver. Giving information about this on Friday, the police said that the cab driver's wife kept a knife with her for self-defense and the accused committed this crime using the same. The special thing is that Kiran and 28-year-old choreographer Navyashree of Bhadravati in Shivmoga district were childhood friends and when they grew up, they got married for love.
Talking on the phone with a friend proved costly
Police said that recently Kiran had started doubting his wife's character. According to the police, Kiran often quarreled with his wife Navyashree because she was talking to a male friend on the phone. Navyashree had told her male friend that her husband was planning something and her life was in danger. According to the police, Navyashree's friend also advised her to report the matter to the police and be cautious. Navyashree narrated her ordeal to her friends Aishwarya and Sunil while going in the car on August 28, later Navyashree returned home with Aishwarya.
A duplicate key was used
Police said that the next morning Aishwarya found Navyashree lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit. Aishwarya was terrified and informed the police. According to Aishwarya, she was fast asleep next to Navyashree and did not know what had happened to her friend during the night. Police said Kiran had entered the house using a 'duplicate' key and killed Navyashree . Police said Kiran has confessed to the crime and has been arrested.
