Nana Patekar was not the first choice for 'Dagdu' in Housefull 5, an actor who has done 200 films was offered the role

With its 5th installment, the makers tried their best to present something different to their audience, and they were successful in doing so. Housefull 5 is not only making people laugh, but there is also a lot of suspense about the 'killer' in the movie. This movie has a double climax, which has been released in parts 5A and 5B.

More than the story of the movie, the attraction point of this comedy franchise is the star cast of the movie. This is the first time that 17 stars have worked together in a successful franchise and everyone has got full screen space. Apart from Akshay Kumar, fans were very happy to see Nana Patekar in the trailer. He has played the character of Senior Inspector 'Dagdu' in the film, which people have liked very much, but do you know that Nana was never the first choice for this character, before him this role was offered to some other superstar.

This actor who earned 1054 crores got an offer

Nana Patekar was a part of Akshay Kumar's film 'Housefull-5' , but Sajid Nadiadwala did not want to cast him as Inspector Dagdu in the killer comedy. He was casting Nana in Sanjay Dutt's role and for this role he had chosen Amitabh Bachchan, who gave a film that earned 1054 crores, but this role fell into the lap of the 'Tiranga' actor. 

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sajid Nadiadwala had first offered the role of Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff to Anil Kapoor. He wanted the pair of Uday and Majnu to be created once again in the film. Both of them have done films like 'Welcome' and 'Welcome Back' together. However, according to reports, Anil Kapoor refused for Housefull 5, after which that role was played by Sanjay-Jackie. 

Why did Amitabh refuse to be a part of 'Housefull-5'?

The report also claimed that when Sajid Nadiadwala approached 80-year-old Amitabh Bachchan with the role, he politely declined the role saying that he is very selective about his characters. 

Talking about the earnings of Housefull 5, this film has made a net collection of more than 100 crores in four days at the domestic box office. On the other hand, the movie is preparing to join the 200 crore club soon.
