She made the misleading claim to people who rushed to the scene after hearing the commotion that Balaji had attacked her and then committed suicide. However, doctors initially concluded that Balaji had been murdered, given the deep wounds on his body. Later, the police investigated from that perspective, and the investigation revealed that Balaji had been murdered.
