Naik last took a 15-day leave between January 6 and 20, 2025 and died in battle on Friday. After training, Naik was posted in Assam, where he worked for a year and was later transferred to Jammu for six months. Shriram Naik said that after a 15-day leave in January, he went back to duty and was eventually killed in battle.
