He stated that his party's representation in the Bihar Assembly is limited to four MLAs, which is why his views are not taken seriously in the House. Manjhi stated clearly, "A single grain of gram cannot break the burden."
Manjhi also shared his strategy for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He said that this time he will be continuously reaching out to the people to ensure that at least 20 MLAs from his party are elected in the 2025 elections. Only then will he be able to complete his long-standing unfinished schemes for the poor and underprivileged.
Manjhi made this serious allegation against Nitish Kumar
Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, recalling his tenure as Chief Minister of Bihar, said that when he was Chief Minister, the Land Reforms Department was ordered to distribute approximately 1.3 million acres of the state's 1.6-1.7 million acres of government land to the landless. This work began rapidly with the establishment of camps, but after he left office, the project remained incomplete. He alleged that Nitish Kumar did initiate work on this scheme, but it has not been fully implemented to date.
Build a two-room house: Jitan Ram Manjhi
The Union Minister also raised questions about housing schemes. He said that the layouts designed under the Indira Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister's Housing Scheme) only require a single room. Expressing his displeasure, Manjhi said, "Are people animals that parents, son-daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law should all live in the same room? This system is completely wrong."
He demanded from the government that a two-room house should be built on at least 5 decimal land, which should also have toilet and electricity facilities.
Abusing someone is against Indian culture – Manjhi
During this, Manjhi also reacted to the recent incident of abuse against the Prime Minister's mother at an RJD rally. He called it "extremely disgusting" and said that abusing someone is against Indian culture. It's not even appropriate to call such a person a human being.
There is no dispute of any kind in NDA
When asked about seat sharing, Manjhi said that there hasn't been any discussion within the NDA yet. It's possible that the matter will be discussed after Dussehra. He also clarified that there is no dispute within the NDA and that everyone will contest the elections together. Manjhi said, "Whoever has a winning seat will get the ticket, and we will all work together to ensure that person wins." Thus, Manjhi's visit brought a message about his political strategy, unfinished plans, and future preparations.
