News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Maharashtra ATS officer Mehboob Mujawar has said that the two accused of Malegaon blast case (II), Ramji Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange, have been killed by the police. Both of these accused are actually wanted in a total of five terrorist blast cases.

Mehboob Mujawar, a resident of Solapur, had the opportunity to be a part of the ATS team investigating the second Malegaon bomb blast on September 29, 2008.

He claimed that Indore residents Ramji Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange, who were made accused in this case, along with another person from Indore, Dilip Patidar, have been killed and made to disappear by the police.

All three have been missing for 17 years

These three have been missing for 17 years. On the other hand, if we believe the police, Kalsangra and Dange were also made accused in the Malegaon II case, and both of them have also been declared fugitives.

According to the records of Maharashtra and Indore police, both of them were named in a total of five terrorist blast cases and were not caught in any of them. The first terrorist blast case among these was the triple blasts in Malegaon, Maharashtra on September 8, 2006, in which 37 people lost their lives.

Apart from this, there was the Samjhauta Express blast on February 18, 2007, the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad on May 18, 2007, then the blast on the platform of Ajmer Dargah on October 11, 2007, and finally the Malegaon blast in September 2008.

Who are Ramchandra Kalsangara and Sandeep Dange?

Kalsangra's full name is Ramji Kalsangra alias Vishnu Patel, while Sandeep Dange's nickname is also Parmanand. Both are wanted by several agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Last week, a special NIA court acquitted seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. Special Judge Abhay Lahoti directed the central probe agency to file a separate chargesheet against absconding accused Ramji Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange upon their arrest. Kalsangra (AA-1) and Dange (AA-2) were shown as wanted accused in the Malegaon (II) case by the ATS. Even when the NIA started investigating the case, their names were retained in the list of accused.

ATS claims

The ATS had claimed that Kalsangra was the person who had parked the LML Freedom motorcycle laden with explosives at the crime scene in Malegaon. Whereas the NIA had said that Kalsangra and Dange had this motorcycle a year before the blast. Ramji's brother Shivnarayan Kalsangra was also arrested by the ATS in this case.

But he was acquitted in December 2017 along with four others - Shyamlal Sahu, Pravin Takalki alias Mutalik, Rakesh Dattatreya Dhavade and Jagdish Chintaman Mhatre. The Kalsangra brothers belonged to a farmer family and worked as electricians. Dange is an engineering graduate and the son of a professor.

The family is waiting

In Indore, Kalsangra's wife Lakshmi Kalsangra and three sons are waiting to know about him. Ramji Kalsangra's son Devvrat said that we are still waiting for justice. My mother, my two brothers and my grandparents still hope that one day we will get concrete news about my father.

We have no information about him for the last 17 years. In its decision on Thursday, the NIA court has also rejected the claim of former inspector Mehboob Mujawar that he died while in ATS custody.
