This entire operation was carried out by US agencies based on information provided by the AGTF. Now, all preparations have been made to bring the gangster back from the US. The Rajasthan Police is seeking the help of the CBI and Interpol for this purpose.

ADG Crime Dinesh MN stated that gangster Amit Sharma, alias Jack Pandit, was arrested by US agencies based on information from the AGTF. Pandit was operating from abroad and was responsible for the gang's finances. He primarily handled receiving extortion money abroad and distributing it to gang members through various channels.

ADG Crime Dinesh MN said that Pandit was also involved in providing shelter and money to gang members who fled India to hide abroad, as well as preparing fake documents for them. When Rohit Godara fled India, Amit Pandit was the one who arranged for his escape.

Upon receiving the information, a special team was formed under the supervision of DIG Yogesh Yadav and Deepak Bhargava. This team was led by Additional Superintendent of Police Siddharth Sharma. He stated that Amit Sharma, a resident of the Sri Ganganagar area, was wanted in several cases. During this time, he took the opportunity to flee abroad and began actively operating. As we gathered information, we investigated the chain of command.

He said that within the gang, he was known as Jack, alias Sultan, alias Doctor, alias Panditji, alias Arpit, etc. He also provided significant information, stating that this gang is also enlisting the help of individuals, both domestically and abroad, whose relatives, associates, and friends are working abroad and have been living there for extended periods. The AGTF has compiled a list of these individuals and collected data on them. Now, those who provide direct or indirect assistance to this gang, whether from within the country or abroad, will be prosecuted under the new law.

Who are Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara?

Lawrence Bishnoi is a notorious Indian gangster known for crimes such as kidnapping, murder, extortion, drug trafficking, and arms smuggling. His network spans across northern India. Lawrence has been involved in numerous gang wars in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.

Lawrence's name also surfaced in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He was also in the news for the 2024 firing incident outside Salman Khan's home. His name also figured prominently in the Maharashtra case of the infamous Baba Siddiqui. He is currently lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail, where he operates his gang.

Rohit Godara's real name is Rohit Rathod. He is also a gangster who initially worked as a mobile repairman and later became a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. He established contact with Lawrence while in prison and entered the world of crime. He is currently absconding and abroad. He is wanted by the NIA. Rohit's gang is also involved in extortion, murder, and drug trafficking.

Members of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs have been carrying out illegal activities for a long time. As a result, the police are on high alert against these individuals and are closely monitoring their activities.
