
News Topical, Digital Desk : Seven policemen were killed in a suicide attack on a police training center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Six attackers were also killed in the ensuing gunfight.
The incident occurred late Friday night when attackers rammed a truck laden with explosives into the main gate of the police training center, causing a powerful explosion. Immediately after the explosion, they entered the premises and began firing indiscriminately.
The encounter lasted for five hours
Police officers retaliated and surrounded the attackers. During the exchange of fire, the attackers continued to throw grenades. The encounter lasted for five hours. Security forces recovered suicide vests, explosives, improvised weapons, and ammunition from them.
How many policemen were injured?
Twelve police officers were injured in the attack and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Around 200 trainees, instructors, and other staff were present at the training center at the time of the attack.
